Hi Dragonfly,

I'm very impressed with the content you've posted on martial arts, philosophy and your experiences. It varies dramatically from the competition oriented training of most schools in the West.

I'm from the East and have been very lucky to have studied under a teacher with a very broad and wholesome view about martial arts and life. And I can see a lot of similarities with what I studied and what you speak of here.

I moved to New York a few months ago and have been looking for a good dojo. Could you please let me know if your teacher has a dojo for men, and if yes, share it's details? I'd be much obliged.

Dragonfly, I found your site while doing a random search for 'women in kung fu'. As I identify with the way you represent yourself online, exploring your journal was like seeing a friendly face in a strange city. I just want to thank you for taking the time to put your thoughts here and for the compassionate and insightful way you present them. If I may say, you are a credit to yourself, your art, and your teacher.
